Conference Objectives

  1. Discuss the differing worldviews behind western medicine and Native American traditions and health practice.
  2. Demonstrate an increased understanding and appreciation of Native American traditions and healing practices.
  3. Illustrate the application of Native American traditions and healing practices to the management of chronic disease, research design, and evidence for practice.
  4. Outline ways to “Honor the Traditions” of our Native American heritage in the practice of professional nursing.
